A woman in West Street, Midhurst, reported being approached by a man and a woman in their 20s who asked her to sign a petition. After signing, they hugged her and shook her hand before walking away. However, five minutes later, the woman realized that her Rolex watch was missing.

The suspects claimed to be deaf and used this tactic to distract the victim. The police are investigating the reported theft and have released images of the suspects, believing that they have information that could assist with their ongoing enquiries.

The incident took place on July 18 at around 1:15 pm. The police are urging anyone who recognizes the individuals in the pictures or has any information regarding the incident to come forward. They can report to the police online or contact them via 101, quoting reference number 788 of 18/07.
