Fabinho was gifted a Rolex watch after the match
Fabinho made his start for Al-Ittihad and had an interesting thing happened after his first victory with the club. After Fabinho’s team beat Al-Raed 3-0 in the first game of the Saudi Pro League, a fan who is claimed to be a journalist was so impressed with the play that he gave him a Rolex watch as a gift.
This happened not long after Fabinho moved from Liverpool to Al-Ittihad for £40 million last month. The 29-year-old defensive midfielder signed a three-year deal and played his first game with N’Golo Kante, who was his Premier League rival at Chelsea. A fan of Al-Ittihad was so impressed with Fabinho’s performance that he gave him a Rolex watch and put it on his wrist after the game.
How was Fabinho’s reaction to the gesture?
The kind act surprised Fabinho, but the watch fell to the ground as he started to leave and join his team on the Ittihad bus. Even though there wasn’t much damage, the ex-Liverpool player seemed to feel better after what happened as he was shocked to receive an expensive gift from a person from the stands which is unlikely to happen in Europe.

The Brazillian joined a group of well-known players who have moved to Pro League teams, such as Karim Benzema, Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Firmino, Edouard Mendy, Allan Saint-Maximin, Jordan Henderson, and Neymar whose transfer is reported to announce soon with Al-Hilal. It all started when the Portuguese icon Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January, it set a pattern for other talented players to follow in the footsteps of arguably the greatest footballer of all time.
