Several designer handbags, two cars, a Rolex, and cash were seized following searches in Dublin this morning.

The Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) were joined by garda? and customs to conduct the searches which took place in a number of different locations.

The operation was targeted at an organised crime group who are believed to be involved in drug trafficking and firearm crime, and was described by garda? as a “significant development” in their investigation.

A Volkswagen Golf and Passat were seized, along with handbags estimated to be worth EUR6,850.

A Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust watch and box, estimated to be worth EUR9,050, was also seized along with EUR2,555 worth of cash.

Some documents were also found during the search.
